Trump lived here as a child: New York home sells for $1.93 million
The New York home where US President Donald Trump spent his early childhood has been sold for $1.93 million, media reports said.
The Tudor-style house in Jamaica Estates, Queens, where Trump lived during his earliest years, was sold for $1.93 million, listing agent Joe Zhu of RE/MAX Edge confirmed to The New York Post.
The sale price is nearly $1.1 million higher than the $835,000 that developer Tommy Lin paid for the property in 2025. Lin reportedly spent more than $500,000 on an eight-month gut renovation of the rundown house.
Zhu said the property's connection to Trump's childhood attracted considerable interest from potential buyers.
“There were quite a lot of people” interested because it was Trump's former home, Zhu told The New York Post, adding that some buyers also viewed the property as having historical value.
When Lin purchased the house for $835,000 in 2025, it had reportedly been vacant for years. The property had suffered damage from a burst pipe and mold and had even become home to a colony of feral cats, according to an earlier report by The New York Post.
Trump's father, real estate developer Fred Trump, built the residence in 1940. Trump lived there until he was 4 years old, after which the family moved to a larger home nearby in Jamaica Estates.
According to The New York Post, the property was previously sold for $2.14 million in 2017, shortly after Trump entered the White House for his first term. It was later offered to tourists through Airbnb before eventually falling into disrepair.
The latest sale highlights the premium attached to properties associated with the US President's early life, particularly those linked to his childhood in Queens.
