Warsaw/UNI/Sputnik: Polish President Andrzej Duda on Friday urged Western countries to increase deliveries of weapons to Ukraine as the Russian operation continues.

"We must support Ukraine more strongly, especially by delivering weapons," Duda said, while making opening remarks at an extraordinary summit of the Bucharest Format.

The Bucharest Format, also known as the Bucharest Nine, was established in 2015 and includes Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.

The organization was established under the pretext of a perceived Russian threat after the 2014 referendum in Crimea.
