Calais, France, Oct 26 (IBNS): An overnight fire engulfed parts of a migrant camp in France's Calais, reports said on Wednesday.

The fire is likely to have been caused by the explosion of a gas canister, BBC reported.

A person was also injured in the process.

The incident took place amid the French government's move to demolish the camp.

Earlier it was reported that the government had deputed around 1,200 police and officials to clear off the 7000 plus people living there.
