Elon Musk announces USD 8 monthly fee for blue tick on Twitter

| @indiablooms | Nov 02, 2022, at 02:48 pm

Washington: Twitter's new chief Elon Musk on Tuesday said users will be charged USD 8 per month  if they want a blue tick by their name.

A blue tick mark indicates a verified account.

"Twitter’s current lords & peasants system for who has or doesn’t have a blue checkmark is bullshit," he tweeted. "Power to the people! Blue for $8/month," he said.

The social media kept buzzing as people shared unhappiness over the announcement.

Musk soon replied: " To all complainers, please continue complaining, but it will cost $8."
