Baghdad attacks kills more than 130 people

Baghdad, July 3 (IBNS): More than 130 people were killed as in a car bombing in a crowded area in Iraq capital Baghdad on Sunday, media reports said.

The attack took place at a time when the holy month of Ramadan is nearing to an end.

Many people were present on the streets of the city when the attack occurred, media reports said.

Sources told Aljazeera around 200 people were also wounded when a lorry packed with explosives blew up in a busy shopping street in Karada, a predominantly Shia neighbourhood in central Baghdad.

The SITE Intelligence Group, a US-based monitoring service claimed that militant group ISIS has taken responsibility for the attack.
