New Delhi, Jan 16 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh while attending programme on ‘Festival of Peace’ in Delhi spoke about religious conversions in India, on Tuesday. The Union Minister said, “If someone accepts a religion on their own there shouldn't be objections but mass conversion is a matter of concern for any country. If you’re Hindu be Hindu, Muslim be Muslim, Christian be Christian. Why do you want to convert the whole world?” He further added, “In Britain and America, minority community demands anti-conversion laws, but here the majority community asks for it, it’s a matter of concern.”
New Delhi, Jan 04 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a meeting to decide the observers for the three states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. Union Minister for Health and Family welfare JP Nadda in a press conference announced the names. He said, “Observers for the elections of state leadership in 3 states were decided. Thawar Chand Gehlot & Anil Jain in Chhattisgarh, Rajnath Singh and Vinay Sahasrabuddhe in MP, Arun Jaitley and Avinash Rai Khanna in Rajasthan will go as observers. Dates for the meeting will be decided after discussions with the state units. State President will be chosen in consultation with the MLAs.”
Kevadiya (Gujarat), Dec 21 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspected ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ parade at Statue of Unity in Gujarat’s Kevadiya. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs Hansraj Ahir were also present at the event. PM Modi will also address the annual conference of Directors General (DG) and Inspectors General of Police (IGP) at Kevadia colony of Narmada district today. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had inaugurated this conference yesterday.

Warangal (Telangana), Dec 01 (ANI): Minister of Home Affairs Rajnath Singh while addressing a public rally in Telangana’s Warangal on November 30 said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) if voted to power will continue the work for making Warangal a smart city which was stalled under the current government. Rajnath Singh said, “After our government came to power in Centre, we named Warangal in the list of smart cities. We have a resolve to make Warangal a smart city. Centre sanctioned Rs 100 Crore for setting up parks and textile industries, but only foundation stone was laid down and no further work has been progressed. If voted to power in Telangana, we will make Warangal a smart city. Moreover, we will also work to provide relief to the cotton growers of this region, which they are deprived of under the current state government,” the Home Minister added.
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Nov 21 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday expressed his happiness over the issue of construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya and said that if it is made then it will be a matter of happiness. While addressing media in Bhopal he said, "Everybody will be happy if Ram temple is constructed. The temple should be constructed in a positive environment." However, he refused to speak further on the issue.
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Nov 21 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday lashed out at Congress for not being able to bring India under the category of developed nations during its long rule in the country. While campaigning for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh elections in Bhopal, he said, “For the crisis in our politics, Congress is solely responsible. Congress had ruled India for a long time after Independence and even despite having immense natural resources, human resources, India could not come in ‘developed nations’ category under Congress.” Elections in the state will be held on November 28.
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Oct 27 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Lucknow said that he ensures that People who fled outside with India’s hard-earned money will have to return. “We've already passed ordinance - Fugitive Economic Offenders ordinance for those who flee outside India with money”, said HM Rajnath Singh. I assure you that those who've fled outside with your hard-earned money will have to return here and their properties will be confiscated”, he added.
Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Oct 23 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday arrived in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar to review the security system in the state. Rajnath held a review meeting on the security situation in Srinagar's Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre. The Home Minister is expected to take stock of the overall situation after the conclusion of the municipal elections in the state. He is also expected to review the ground situation in Kashmir following the killings in the south Kashmir's Kulgam district on October 21.

New Delhi, Oct 23 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh departed for Srinagar on Tuesday to hold a review meeting on the security situation. In Srinagar, he will also meet Governor Satyapal Malik. This is Singh's first visit to the Valley after Satyapal Malik took oath as the Governor. The visit is of significance after municipal elections concluded in the state.
New Delhi, Sep 29 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy while reacting to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s statement on the eve of surgical strike, said, “We have retaliated very strongly and a very large number of terrorists were killed, which is a large setback for Pakistan. I think, whatever has happened should be publicised. We have decided to reply to Pakistan. I personally think we should break Pakistan into four”. Earlier, remembering the slain BSF jawan Narender Singh, who was brutally killed by Pakistan Army, Rajnath Singh said that something big has happened across the borders, which wouldn’t be disclosed for now. But we’ll continue taking revenge if any such incident takes place again.

New Delhi, Sep 14 (ANI): Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh attended the ‘Hindi Diwas Samaroh-2018’. The event was held in the national capital on Friday. The event was organised on the occasion of Hindi Diwas. Present at the event, both the leaders awarded prizes to the authors for their contribution in Hindi literature. Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju was also present at the event.
