Mumbai, Nov 2 (IBNS): Prithvi Shaw, a 17-year old Mumbai batsman, scored his fourth first class century on Thursday to follow cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar's record of highest number of centuries before the age of 18, media reports said.

Tendulkar holds the record of highest number of centuries before the age of 18 with seven tons under his belt.

Shaw scored his fourth century against Odisha on Thursday. He was dismissed at 105.

Praising Shaw, former Indian captain Sachin Tendulkar told The Indian Express: "I had seen him about 8-10 years ago and saw the spark in him. He has a matured approach towards the game and a good cricketing brain."
