Birmingham/IBNS: Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma is now out of quarantine after testing negative for Covid-19, media reports said.

Sharma is now expected to play the first white ball match against England Jul 7.

The right-handed batsman missed out the rescheduled fifth Test against England after testing positive for coronavirus.

Though the team management was keen to include him in the squad, Sharma tested positive thrice forcing India to look for an alternate captain.

India picked senior fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah as the skipper for the final Test which began Jun 2.
