Very hard to express my gratitude right now: Akshay says after National Award win

Mumbai, Apr 7 (IBNS): Winning the best actor award at the 64th National Film Awards, Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar on Friday said he was finding it difficult to express his 'gratitude'.

"#NationalFilmAwards : Best Actor for Rustom,countless emotions,very hard to express my gratitude right now but still tried,a big THANK YOU," Kumar tweeted.

Akshay Kumar  was adjudged  the  best actor and Sonam Kapoor-starrer Neerja  named the best Hindi film of 2016 as the  64th National Film Awards were announced on Friday, reports said.

Surabhi Lakshmi was declared the best actress for her performance in Malayalam movie Minnaminungu.

According to reports, Akshay Kumar bagged the best Actor award for his act in 'Rustom'.

Sonam Kapoor also got a Special Mention for her performance in 'Neerja'.

Over 300 films vied for the honours this year.
