India’s first AI-led anime film is here: The Dwarka Project trailer unveiled at Anime India

The 100-minute feature is the first content project created entirely on Trinetra AI, BULLET’s India-developed AI filmmaking platform designed to help creators develop and produce original stories through an AI-led filmmaking process.

Set in 2166, The Dwarka Project follows Parth, a young man from the Marshland who enters the mainland in search of his abducted father. After discovering extraordinary powers linked to the underwater city of Dwarka, Parth is drawn into a dangerous conflict involving social divisions, advanced technology and a powerful corporation seeking to control the future.

As he struggles to understand and control his abilities, he finds an unlikely ally in his mysterious roommate Vicky, who helps guide him through the battle ahead.

The film brings an original Indian science-fiction narrative to anime through a feature-length format, allowing the story to explore a richly imagined future shaped by advanced technology, social divides and questions of identity, belonging and power.

Commenting on the trailer launch, Azim Lalani, Co-Founder & Chief Business Officer, BULLET Microdrama, said, “The Dwarka Project is an experiment in what becomes possible when filmmaking is approached without some of the conventional constraints of production. We wanted to build an original Indian sci-fi and explore whether AI could enable us to take that vision from concept to a feature film.
