Trailer of Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Padman' releases

Mumbai, Dec 15 (IBNS): Trailer of Akshay Kumar-starrer Bollywood film 'Padman', a film dealing with menstrual hygiene, released on Friday.

Apart from Akshay Kumar, the film starres Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in significant roles.

R Balki directorial film 'Padman' is a story of Tamil Nadu-based social activist Arunachalam Muruganantham, who created a low-cost sanitary napkins machine.

Reacting to the trailer, actor Alia Bhatt tweeted: "Superhero hai aur super trailer bhi! Such a sweet and honest character! @akshaykumar & @sonamakapoor surprising us once again.. can’t wait for this one #RBalki @mrsfunnybones."

Sonam also tweeted to say: "Great things come of out passion and PAD MAN is a great example of this. Thank you to everyone who has got us this far, I hope you enjoy the trailer!"

The film is slated to release on Jan 26, 2018.
