Taj 'trolls' JW Marriott after Rahul Bose buys two bananas for Rs. 442.50

Mumbai, July 27 (IBNS): After actor Rahul Bose had to pay JW Marriott Chandigarh Rs. 442.50 for two bananas, five-star hotel Taj 'trolled' its competitor.

Taj in Mumbai's Santacruz has put up a notice which states it is offering complimentary fruits.

Twitter user Deepak Shenoy shared the notice saying, "Meanwhile, in the land of trolling JW Marriott...."

Taking to Twitter recently, Rahul, who was in Chandigarh, narrated an incident that he had ordered two bananas at his room while working out in the gym. However, when he received the bill, the actor was shocked to see that the price of two bananas was Rs. 442.50.

In a sarcastic tone, the actor wrote on Twitter, "You have to see this to believe it. Who said fruit wasn’t harmful to your existence? Ask the wonderful folks at
@JWMarriottChd #goingbananas #howtogetfitandgobroke #potassiumforkings"

The 51-year old actor took part in several Bengali films like Mr. and Mrs. Iyer, Kalpurush, Anuranan, Antaheen, Laptop and The Japanese Wife.

Some of his Hindi films are Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam, Jhankaar Beats.
