Singer Joe Cocker passes away

London, Dec 22 (IBNS): English rock and blues singer Joe Cocker, who came to popularity in the 1960s passed away at the age of 70 on Monday,BBC reported.

The singer was best known for his cover of the Beatles' With A Little Help From My Friends.

Cocker was born on 20 May 1944 in Sheffield, His career lasted for more than 40 years.

He had presented several hits like  'You Are So Beautiful' and 'Up Where We Belong'.

"His agent Barrie Marshall confirmed that he had died of an undisclosed illness," BBC reported.
