Shahid Kapoor announces his next project named Batti Gul Meter Chalu

Mumbai, Oct 19 (IBNS): Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor on Thursday announced the name of his upcoming project Batti Gul Meter Chalu.

He announced the name of his upcoming movie on the auspicious occassion of Diwali.

"Let’s celebrate the festival of light with the hope that soon electricity will be a right and not a privilege for all. #BattiGulMeterChalu #ShreeNarayanSingh @kriarj @TSeries," the actor tweeted.

The movie will be directed by Shree Narayan Singh.

He had previously directed the movie Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.

The movie, which released on Independence Day weekend in August, featured Akshay Kumar and turned up as one of the major hits of 2017.

Shahid will soon be seen in Padmavati.

The movie will release on Dec 1.

The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed movie features actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.
