Mumbai, Apr 10 (IBNS): Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has thanked everyone who lent their supports to him after he was convicted in a 20-year old Blackbuck case last Thursday.

In a tweet, Salman said: "Tears of gratitude . To all my loved ones who are with me and never lost hope . Thank you for being there with all the love and support . God Bless ."

Salman, who spent two nights inside the Jodhpur jail, is now out on bail.

He was granted bail by a Rajasthan court on Saturday.

The four other co-accused –  actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre and Neelam – have been acquitted.

The actors were accused of poaching a blackbuck, an endangered species protected under the Indian Wildlife Act, in Kankani village of Jodhpur during the shooting of film Hum Saath Saath Hain in September, 1998.

Khan was convicted under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972.

Post conviction, actors like Jaya Bachchan and Varun Dhawan shared solidarity with Salman.
