Ranveer Singh to play Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan's next

Mumbai, Sept 25 (IBNS): Actor Ranveer Singh will soon be seen playing the character of a cricket legend on screen.

Ranveer will play the character of former Indian cricket team captain and World Cup winning skipper Kapil Dev.

Director Kabir Khan will make a movie on 1983 World Cup victory.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#BreakingNews: Ranveer Singh will turn cricketer #KapilDev in Kabir Khan's sports-based film... #1983 #WorldCup."

Ranveer is currently busy with upcoming Bollywood movie Padmavati.

Kabir Khan had last directed Salman Khan's 2017 release Tubelight.
