Mumbai, Jan 22 (IBNS): Ahead of the release of his upcoming movie, actor Ranveer Singh on Monday called the character of Alauddin Khilji as a 'monster'.

He also shared a collage of various moods of Khilji on social media.

Sharing the image, Singh tweeted: "MONSTER #Khilji #Padmaavat."

Padmaavat will release soon.

The movie was earlier scheduled to release on Dec 1.

Amid controversy and objection by fringe groups, the movie's releases was deferred.

The title of the movie was later changed from 'Padmavati' to 'Padmaavat'.

Apart from Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are part of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed movie.

The fringe group is still protesting against the release of the movie.
