Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas Mehendi shows 'amalgamation' of cultures
Jodhpur, Dec 1 (IBNS): For the first time, actress Priyanka Chopra has shared images of her marriage rituals on social media.
Priyanka, 35, who reportedly tied the nuptial knot with American singer Nick Jonas, 25, on Saturday, shared a couple of pictures on Instagram.
In the first picture, Priyanka and Nick could be seen having a fun moment at their 'mehendi' ceremony, a ritual which occurs prior to marriage.
However, the second picture clearly reflects an "amalgamation' of the two families, more precisely the two cultures.
The Quantico girl captioned the pictures saying, "One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other's faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi.
"Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed."
According to reports, they took the wedding vows in a traditional Christian ceremony.
After being crowned Miss World, Priyanka had a good run in Bollywood before she ventured into Hollywood. The actor is now a popular name in American celeb circles with the series Quantico and films such as Baywatch in her CV.
