Karan Johar remembers Alia,Varun, Sid as Student of the Year completes five years
The movie, with its young lead actors, had hit the silver screen in 2012.
The movie marked the debut of newcomers Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt.
Remembering these three actors and the relationship he shared with them, Johar tweeted: "#5YearsOfSOTY ....a film that gave me three solid life long relationships!!!! @S1dharthM @Varun_dvn @aliaa08."
Actor Sidharth Malhotra said the movie will always remain special for him.
"We shot Radha on the first day & I remember how nervous @varun_dvn, @aliaa08 & me were. SOTY will always be special. Thank You @karanjohar," the actor tweeted.
Another actor of the movie Varun Dhawan also cherished the moments and tweeted: "#5YearsOfSOTY #5YearsOfVarunDhawan thank you will work harder. You guys have stood with me from the begin thank you."
Alia also completed five years in Bollywood with the movie.
She thanked fans and all people from the industry, including filmmaker Karan Johar, for her achievement and initial oppurtunity to start her journey in the tinsel town.
"Happy happy Diwali to you all! Today is a very special day. For two reasons.. Diwali being the first and 5 years of SOTY being the second ," she tweeted.
"Thank you for all the love!!!It's been such a journey but hopefully it shall be a long one..sooo grateful promise to always work hard ," the actress said.
Thanking Johar, she said: "Love you @karanjohar my father my friend.. thank you for making this day happen! Couldn't have asked for a better opening to my story :)."
She also appreciated her co-star in the 2012 movie Student of the Year- Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra.
All the three have made their marks in the industry now.
Alia tweeted: "And to the best boys ever! @S1dharthM @Varun_dvn so happy we started off together and were totally clueless together love you both ."
Student of the Year is a 2012 Indian romantic comedy-drama film directed by Karan Johar and produced by Hiroo Yash Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions and in collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment.
