| @indiablooms | Aug 07, 2018, at 03:59 pm

New Delhi, Aug 7 (IBNS) Renowned Israeli filmmakers, Prof. Sami Shalom Chetrit and Mr. Rani Blair, are in India for a series of lectures on filmmaking and cinema for students and faculty in India.

They will also hold workshops and encourage exchange programs between Israel’s Sapir College and Indian film schools, the Israeli Embassy in India said.

Prof. Chetrit and Mr. Blair are the heads of the School of Audio & Visual Arts in Sapir College, Israel, who chose to locate their art in southern Israel as a philosophical approach, seeking to challenge the widely accepted dominance of creativity in the central region.

This week, they are visiting Marwah Studios (Noida), Amity University (Noida), O.P. Jindal Global University (Sonipat) and Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (Kolkata).

On the occasion,  Maya Kadosh, Chargé d’ Affaires said, “The visit of Prof. Chetrit and Mr. Blair is another milestone in the building of Israel-India cultural relation. I hope their visit will continue the ongoing cultural collaboration between Sapir College and leading academic institutes in India for years to come.”
