Emraan Hashmi's son now cancer-free, actor thanks fans for prayers

Mumbai, Jan 14 (IBNS): Actor Emraan Hashmi's son Ayaan, who was diagnosed with cancer five years ago, has cured from the disease.

Hashmi on Monday took to Twitter to inform his fans and also thanked them for their prayers.

The actor said: "Today, 5 years after his diagnosis Ayaan has been declared cancer free. It has been quite a journey. Thank you for all your prayers and wishes. Love and prayers for all the cancer fighters out there, hope and belief goes a long way. You can WIN this battle !!!"

Aayan, who was born in 2010, was diagnosed with a first-stage cancer in 2014.

Following the diagnosis, the 39-year old actor, who has been a part of a number successful Bollywood films, penned down autobiographical book The Kiss of Life.

Hashmi is waiting for the release of Hindi film Why Cheat India, which will hit the big screens this Friday.
