Deepika Padukone's Padmaavat mints Rs. 219 crores at BO

Mumbai, Feb 6 (IBNS): Actress Deepika Padukone's last released movie 'Padmaavat' has earned Rs. 219 crores at the Box Office till Monday.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: " #Padmaavat is ROCK-STEADY... [Week 2] Fri 10 cr, Sat 16 cr, Sun 20 cr, Mon 7 cr. Total: ₹ 219.50 cr. India biz. SUPER-HIT. "

Hit by controversies, the movie, after a change of its title and release date, finally released to get positive response from fans.

The movie is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

It is the first major release of the year.

Deepika is playing the role of of Padmavati.

The movie also featured actors Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
