Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood celebrities on Saturday urged people to maintain peace and harmony following the crucial verdict given by the Supreme Court on the Ayodhya issue.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar tweeted: "Welcome the fair verdict over the #AyodhyaCase by Hon. Supreme Court. Finally the long pending issue will be resolved now."

Actress Huma Qureshi posted: "My dear Indians, please respect the Supreme Court verdict on #AyodhyaCase today. We all need to heal together and move on from this as one nation !!"

Actor Farhan Akhtar said: "Humble request to all concerned , please respect the Supreme Court verdict on #AyodhyaCase today. Accept it with grace if it goes for you or against you. Our country needs to move on from this as one people. Jai Hind."

In a historic judgement to a politically-sensitive Ayodhya case which has been raging for almost 70 years, the Supreme Court on Saturday paved way for the construction of Ram Temple in the disputed 2.77 acres of land in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya dismissing the Sunni Waqf Board's claim to the land. The apex court also directed that a mosque be built over 5 acres in a prominent location.
