Bollywood: Baahubali 2 rakes up rs 400 cr

Mumbai, May 13 (IBNS): The Baahubali 2 juggernaut, set in motion on Apr 27, has mauled just about every Indian box-office records so far.

The film, which is going about its usual business of uprooting and planting new records with each passing day, has achieved yet another, as the Hindi version of S S Rajamouli's magnum opus raced past the Rs 400 crore (62,053,987 USD) mark.

According to reports, Baahubali 2's third Friday collection has surpassed the combined collection of Sarkar 3 and Meri Pyaari Bindu.

The film has so far grossed over Rs 1200 Crore (186,161,961 USD) (all versions) worldwide, with the franchise (Baahubali 1 and Baahubali 2) set to go past the Rs 2000 crore (310,269,935 USD) mark in coming days.

Baahubali 2, a fantasy/drama films stars southern superstar Prabhas in the namesake role.

Other actors include Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Nassar and Sathyaraj, who's character Kattappa kept a section of the society pondering over with the question, "Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?", following the conclusion of the first part.
