Amitabh Bachchan apologises to fans for failing to meet them on Sunday

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who was discharged from the hospital recently, could not meet his fans on Sunday who had gathered outside his residence to greet him.

Bachchan apologised to him for failing to meet them.

He tweeted: "T 3524 - I convalesce .. but they still come for the Sunday meet .. my apologies .. could not come out."

Fans gather outside Bachchan's residence for years now to catch a glimpse of the megastar.

Amitabh Bachchan is currently resting and recovering, and will soon resume the shooting of his projects, reported India Today.

He recently turned 77.
