Amit Kumar starts music series with cover version of his own songs

Mumbai/IBNS: Kishore Kumar once sang 'Koi Lautade Mere Bite Huye Din'.It's all about celebrating those bygone days. There is no age for the evergreen songs they had sung. His son and artist Amit Kumar is now travelling in a time machine.

The artist has started a new series with the cover version of his own songs which became super hit at some point in the seventies, sometimes in the eighties even in the nineties.

He is choosing songs from the requests of countless fans who come to his fan page on Facebook.

He is now bringing back his own songs with the new age music arrangements.

In this context, Amit said, "Many fans have been requesting their favourite songs of mine. Performing on stage is not happening in this current scenario for over a year and a half.So planned to choose my own songs from the requests that everyone wants to listen to and re-recorded some those songs once again. Now everyone is enjoying listening to them with new age sound."

"At first I did Bade Acchhe Lagte Hai, then Roz Roz Ankhon Tale. The first song has got two lakh views on YouTube, the second one a lakh views on merit. There are also some stories behind the songs too," he said.

The official fan page has crossed one million subscribers on merit recently.

The hit song from Shailab 'Mujhko Yeh Zindagi Lagti Hai Ajnabi' is just released. The song is written by Javed Akhtar, music by Bappi Lahiri. The song was sung for Aditya Pancholi became very popular.

Amit added, "Besides my own songs, I also did a series of my favourite Western songs.

"That was also very much appreciated. Many people wanted me to sing my favourite Western numbers. I enjoyed doing it. I have my own compositions too. Kumar Brothers Music will release more songs of mine of my own tune in the coming days," said he.
