Akshay Kumar meets VK Singh

Mumbai, Jan 19 (IBNS): Promoting 'Airlift', Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar met Union Minister of State for External Affairs Vijay Kumar Singh.

Singh had played a key role in the evacuation of stranded Indians and other nationals from Yemen.

"Honoured to meet Gen. Vijay Kumar Singh,the key man behind rescue mission Operation Raahat during the Yemen Crisis," Kumar tweeted.

Speaking on the meeting, Singh also posted on his Twitter page: "It was a pleasure interacting with you @akshaykumar."

Akshay Kumar plays the Indian-born Kuwaiti businessman alongside Nimrat Kaur who is playing his wife in the movie Airlift.

Directed by Raja Menon, ‘Airlift’ is produced under the Emmay Entertainment & Motion Pictures LLP along with T-Series and Cape of Good, in strategic partnership with Abundantia Entertainment.

It is set to release on Jan 22.
