Dhanush's VIP 2 to release on July 28

Chennai, May 9 (IBNS): Southern superstar Dhaush on Tuesday announced his upcoming movie Velaiyilla Pattathari 2 aka VIP 2 will be released on July 28. Sharing a video on his Twitter page, Dhanush confirmed the date of the release of he movie.

The release date is coinciding with the birthday of the star.

Dhanush tweeted: "Here we go :) #vip2 release date :) #birthdayspecial #raghuvaranisback #anotherjulyrelease @soundaryaarajni @KajolAtUN @theVcreations."

After two decades, Bollywood actress Kajol will be seen in this Tamil movie.

Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 , popularly referred to as VIP 2, is an upcoming Indian Tamil-languagecomedy-drama film directed by Soundarya Rajnikanth. A sequel to Velaiilla Pattadhari (2014), the film features Dhanush, Kajol and Amala Paul in the lead roles, while, Samuthirakani and Saranya Ponvannan play supporting but pivotal roles.

Dhanush, besides acting, is also co-producing the film and has written the story and dialogues for the film.
