NFDC's 'Qissa' goes live

Mumbai, Feb 16 (IBNS): An interesting video from NFDC's international co-production, 'Qissa - The tale of a lonely Ghost' titled 'Making of Qissa' is live now. The montage video gives a glimpse into the mindset of the characters and their experiences while shooting for the film.

Set amongst the remote areas of Punjab, it features the picturesque locales of the state as the backdrop of this intensely captivating movie.

The video which showcases the cast and crew as they prepare for the shoot epitomizes the crux of the film in abeautiful way.

The critically acclaimed film has been featured at numerousprestigious international film festivals. It has even grabbed the Best Actor award for Irrfan Khan and two Best Actress awards for Tillotama Shome, the NETPAC Jury Award for the Best Asian Film at the Toronto International FilmFestival 2013 and the Silver Gate Award in India Gold Competition at MumbaiInternational Film Festival, 2013.

‘Qissa - The tale of a lonely Ghost’ is a Punjabi language feature film directed by Anup Singh starrring Irrfan Khan, Tisca Chopra, Tillotama Shome and Rasika Dugal among others.

The film is now set to release in India on Feb 20 simultaneously across select theatres, on NFDC's VOD site www.cinemasofindia.com and on DVD, thereby making the Punjabi language feature film accessible to a diverse pan Indian audience.
