Islamabad, Aug 19 (IBNS): United States (US) Secretary of State Michael Pompeo might visit Pakistan next month and meet country's new PM Imran Khan, media reports said.

United States (US) Secretary of State Michael Pompeo is likely to visit Islamabad in the first week of September for consultations with Prime Minister Imran Khan and his team on issues of mutual interests, diplomatic and official sources told Dawn.

He is likely to be the first foreign dignitary to meet the new PM of the nation.

Khan took oath as the PM of the nation on Saturday.

Khan and his PTI scripted major victory in the general polls recently.
