University student shot dead by robbers in Pakistan's Karachi city

Suspected robbers shot down a private university student in Karachi, showcasing the deteriorating law and order situation in the Pakistani city.

The incident reportedly happened on Monday night and the student was gunned down after he resisted a robbery attempt.

The victim was identified as Laraib.

He reportedly studied in a private university.

According to police, the victim was intercepted by two suspects while returning home from a gym, reported ARY News.

“The suspect fired a bullet that hit near eye of the victim, which turned out to be fatal,” police told the news channel.

Police said a 30-bore pistol’s empty bullet shell was found at the spot of the attack.

Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.

The victim’s father Muhammad Hussain told ARY News Laraib was engaged and his marriage was scheduled to take place in 2025.
