Islamabad, Jan 6 (IBNS): UAE crown prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan arrived in Islamabad on Sunday after nearly 12 years on a one-day official visit.

The visiting dignitary came following an official invitation from Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to The Dawn, the Pakistan PM received Sheikh Mohammed on his arrival and they both drove together to Khan's residence, where the UAE crown prince was given a guard of honour.

The two leaders are now engaged in a one-on-one meeting following which delegation-level talks are scheduled to be held.

PM Khan has visited the UAE twice since taking charge in August last year to seek an economic package for Pakistan. The UAE crown prince is expected to make an announcement to that effect during his visit.
