Taliban came with a positive mind: Shahid Afridi supports insurgent group which invaded Afghanistan

Islamabad/IBNS: Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has openly supported the insurgent group Taliban which invaded Afghanistan, where fear and anxiety have gripped people over the change in political power.

Interacting with reporters recently, the former allrounder said, "Taliban have come with a positive mind... They are allowing ladies to work... I also believe they like cricket."

However, Afridi's words are completely contrasting to the ground reality where men and women are desperate to flee the country to save their lives.

Several Afghan nationals have fled Afghanistan already, seeking refuge in other countries including India.

His statement comes days after a blast, led by ISIS, at Kabul Airport killed at least 170 people including 13 US security personnel.

As per the agreement, the US has pulled out its troops from the country Monday, ahead of the deadline.
