Senior Pakistani priest condemn killing of Pastor William Siraj

Peshawar, Pakistan: A senior Christian priest in Pakistan has condemned the killing of a priest by gunmen as the victim drove home from a church recently.

Azad Marshall tweeted: "We strongly condemn the firing on clergy of Diocese of Peshawar and instant killing of Pastor William Siraj and injuring Rev Patrick Naeem earlier today. We demand justice and protection of Christians from the Government of Pakistan."

Siraj's body was laid to rest in Peshawar on Monday.

Security officials have started an investigation into the matter.

Apart from Siraj, another priest was hurt in the incident.

No group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
