Hub: An explosion rocked Balochistab's Hub area in Pakistan and left a TV reporter dead on Sunday, media reports said.

The reporter was identified as Shahid Zehri.

He was reportedly associated with Metro 1 News.

The reporter was travelling in a car in Hub when he was attacked reportedly with a homemade grenade, Eidgah Station House Officer Nadeem Haider told Dawn News.

Zehri, who suffered critical injuries, and another injured companion were initially taken to Hub Civil Hospital and subsequently brought to the Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi, where Zehri was pronounced dead, reports the Pakistani news paper.

The banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the incident.
