Pakistan: Quetta blast leaves four injured

Islamabad, July 31 (IBNS): A blast targeting a  police vehicle near the Bacha Khan Chowk area in Quetta on Tuesday left four people killed, media reports said on Wednesday.

The blast left 30 people injured.

Deputy Inspector-General (DIG) Quetta Police Abdul Razzaq Cheema told Geo News the explosion took place close to a police vehicle near the City police station located close to Bacha Khan Chowk, one of the busiest neighbourhoods of the provincial capital.

DIG Cheema told the news channel that the injured included the injured included an additional Station House Officer (SHO), who was taken to a the City Trauma Centre for medical treatment.

The injured people were shifted to  Civil Hospital for treatment.

Police sources told Geo News evidence from the location appeared to show that terrorists had detonated explosive material planted in a motorcycle close to the police vehicle.  

No group has cliamed responsibility for the incident so far.
