Islamabad, Dec 16 (IBNS): Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has condemned the killing of civilians in Kashmir's Pulwama and said Pakistan would raise the issue at the United Nations.

"Strongly condemn killing of innocent Kashmiri civilians in Pulwama IOK by Indian security forces. Only dialogue & not violence & killings will resolve this conflict. We will raise issue of India's human rights violations in IOK & demand UNSC fulfil its J&K plebiscite commitment," tweeted Khan on Sunday.

"Kashmiris must be allowed to decide their future," he added.

Seven civilians and a soldier were killed in an encounter which took place between militants and security forces in Pulwama district of south Kashmir on Saturday. Three terrorists were killed in the encounter.

The security forces had launched a cordon and search operation in Sirnoo village after getting intelligence input about the presence of militants in the area. In the middle of the search operation, the terrorists had opened fire which was retaliated by the security forces.
