Pakistan: Levies Force personnel dies as vehicle hits landmine in Kohlu

Quetta: A Balochistan Levies Force personnel died when a vehicle, in which they were travelling, hit a landmine in Jannat Ali area of the Kohlu district of Pakistan on Monday, media reports said.

Five others were hurt in the incident.

The deceased was identified as Muhammad Aslam.

According to Levies sources, the personnel were on their way to Union Council 20 of Jannat Ali to provide security for the election on specific seats when their vehicle moved on the landmine which went off, reports The News International.

Two of the injured, who were shifted to a nearby hospital, were stated to be in critical condition and were later airlifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Quetta by helicopter, the newspaper reported.
