Pakistan: Five tourists die after drowning in drain

Islamabad, July 13 (IBNS): At least five tourists died after they drowned in a drain in Pakistan's Murree mountain resort town late on Thursday evening, media reports said on Friday.

The tourists were reportedly riding bicycles and passing from the area when the mishap occurred.

According to rescue sources, five tourists were rescued and three bodies recovered from the drain yesterday. Two more bodies were recovered on Friday morning, rescue officials informed Geo News.

The search operation remained under way as another person is suspected to be present in the drain, sources in the rescue team told the Pakistani news channel.
