Karachi: At least 11 people died as a blast rocked Pakistan's Karachi city on Saturday, media reports said.

The injury left 13 people hurt.

SHO Zafar Ali Shah told Dawn News the explosion took place in a nullah (drain) located underneath a private bank, which had been served a notice to vacate the premises so the nullah could be cleaned up.

The bank's building and nearby petrol pump was damaged in the blast.

Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab said an investigation is currently underway to find the reason behind the blast.
