Quetta: At least one person died as a blast rocked Quetta’s Qandhari Bazar on Saturday, media reports said.

Nine others, including women and children, were injured when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in the city.

Police told The Express Tribune explosives were planted on a motorcycle and added that the blast also damaged four vehicles and nearby shops.

A Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) spokesperson told the newspaper that further investigation is underway and evidence is being collected from the crime scene.

"Terrorists involved in this coward[ly] act of terrorism against innocent women and children will be brought to justice very soon," he added.
