At least nine grenade attacks targeted election offices of candidates and polling stations across various towns in Balochistan, triggering security concerns just a day before the country votes in the national polls.

According to police reports, individuals riding motorcycles threw hand grenades at a government school in Killi Ahmedzai, located on the outskirts of Quetta, late in the evening, reported Dawn News.

The grenade reportedly exploded in the courtyard of the school.

The windows of the school building, which was designated as a polling station, were damaged.

Security officials found an explosive device at a government school in Pasni which was later detonated.

In the Hoshab area of Kech district, an office of the National Database and Registration Authority office was attacked with a grenade, causing damage to windows but no injuries were reported, reported Dawn News.

According to reports, PPP candidate Agha Gull survived a grenade attack.
