Four people kidnapped by Taliban in Afghanistan

Kabul, Apr 24 (IBNS): Suspected Taliban terrorists have kidnapped four people from a vehicle in Afghanistan's western Herat province, media reports said on Tuesday.

Sayed Karim Zahid, the Chisti Sharif district’s administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the insurgents stopped a civilian vehicle and kidnapped four passengers towards Dara-i-Takht locality of the district on Sunday.

He said the fate of the people kidnapped by the terrorists is still not known.

Police have started investigating into the incident.

Sayed Karim Zahid said the area where the incident took place remained under the control of Taliban.

The passengers were traveling from Ghor province to  Herat City when the incident occurred.
