Bangladesh: One person die as explosion rocks Chattogram house

Chattogram: At least one person died and three others were hurt as an explosion rocked a house in Bangladesh's Chattogram city on Sunday, media reports said.

The incident took place in the Baluchhora Kashem Colony on Sunday morning,Senior Station Officer Kabir Hossain of the local Fire Service and Civil Defence station told bdnews24.

The deceased person was identified as Faruk Akash.

The cause of the explosion is still not known.

The blast occurred in a room on the first floor of a three-storey building, reports bdnews24.

Locals recovered three victims with burns from the room and sent them to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for treatment.

Another person in a nearby room was injured when the blast caused a wall to collapse on top of them. They were rescued by the fire service, the news portal reported.

One of the burn victims was Akash, fire service official Kabir told the news portal.
