Balochs are sacrificing their lives due to Pakistani oppression, says woman activist
Quetta, Pakistan: A Baloch activist has said it is due to Pakistan’s oppressive policies and genocide in Balochistan province that a woman from the region blew herself in Karach University which left three Chinese natioinals dead.
Prof. Naela Quadri Baloch, the President of the World Baloch Women’s Forum in Canada told ANI, “If a mother of two beautiful kids who is having a very decent and well-educated family, Shari Baloch can decide to be a self-sacrificer then the world can understand what Baloch people are going through and who is responsible for that.”
Prof. Naela added, “It is the state of Pakistan and the Communist government of China who are responsible for pushing our daughters and sons to the level of self-sacrifice because there is no political platform left and the United Nations are also not listening to Baloch people."
30-year-old Shari Baloch, who joined Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) two years ago volunteered herself for a “self-sacrificing mission” recently.
Those responsible for a suspected suicide attack in the Pakistani city of Karachi that claimed the lives of three Chinese nationals will be held accountable so that "the blood of the Chinese people should not be shed in vain," China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, a van with Chinese teachers was blasted near the University of Karachi's Confucius Institute, reportedly by a female suicide bomber.
Three teachers and a driver died as a result of the attack, while the fourth teacher sustained injuries.
"I would like to stress that terrorism is the common enemy of mankind. The blood of the Chinese people should not be shed in vain. China firmly supports Pakistan's counter-terrorism efforts. We will work with Pakistan to hunt down the perpetrators, bring them to justice and make them pay a heavy price," Wang told a briefing.
