Afghanistan: Two blasts in Kabul leaves 2 people killed, 9 hurt

Kabul, Oct 6 (IBNS): Two explosions rocked Afghanistan's Kabul city on Saturday which killed at least 2 people, media reports said.

The incident left nine others hurt.

Basir Mujahid, spokesman for Kabul police, told Pajhwok Afghan News the first blast ripped through a vehicle of the Ministry of Interior at around 7:30am.

One police mentor was killed in the blast, he told the Afghanistan-based news agency, adding the second explosion occurred later and resulted in killing of one person and injuring of six ministry personnel and three civilians.

Omid, an eyewitness, told Pajhwok one explosion took place in the Alokhel area of the capital at around 8am.

The secnd blast reportedly took place after the police and security personnel reached the spot.

The entire area has been cordoned off after the blasts.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
