Afghanistan: Taliban ambush leaves police commander killed

Kabul, Dec 23 (IBNS): A Taliban ambush in Afghanistan's Kunduz province of Afghanistan on Sunday left a commander of the Afghan National Civil Order Police in Takhar province dead, media reports.

Takhar police chief Abdul Bashir Rashid told Tolo News commander Tawoos was on his way from Takhar to Kunduz when he faced Taliban ambush in Chartoot area in Kunduz.

He told the news portal that two guards of the commander were also killed in the attack.

The incident left four others hurt.

Taliban did not confirm the incident.
