Afghanistan: Southern Helmand blast kills 1

Kabul, Sept 16 (IBNS): At least one person was killed as a sticky bomb affixed to a police vehicle went up in the capital of southern Helmand province of Afghanistan on Saturday, media reports said on Sunday.

The incident left another person hurt, reports said.

The blast took place in front of the Bost hospital near the first security post of the governor’s house in Lashkargah, said Omar Zwak, the governor’s spokesman told Pajhwok Afghan News.

No group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
