Afghanistan: Security forces kill Taliban’s shadow district chief and his comrades

Kabul, Sept 23 (IBNS): Security forces in Afghanistan killed the shadow district chief of Taliban for Zari district of Balkh province, media reports said.

The 209th Shaheen Corps said in a statement a group of Taliban militants clashed with the security forces at around 8:45 pm on Saturday night, reported Khaama Press.

The statement further added that the security forces responded to the attack killing Mawlavi Gul Ahmad alias Abuzar, the shadow district chief of Taliban for Zari, reported the news agency.

During the attack, security forces also killed 8 comrades of Mawlavi Gul Ahmad and wounded at least 13 others.
