Kabul: Taliban affiliates in the Shigal district of eastern Kunar province of Afghanistan opened fire at civilians on Thursday, leaving a young man dead and another person injured, media reports said.

The deceased has been identified as Yaseen.

Local residents told Khaama Press that a Taliban affiliate was mistakenly hit with the outside mirror of his car in the checkpoint that led to the firing. Yaseen was shot by the Taliban affiliates at the check post.

Family members of the slain, Yaseen, asked the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to bring to justice the perpetrators.
